In May of 1997 I flew to Louisiana to pick up Duncan to be my first conformation dog. If I had known then what I know now, he could have become my first champion. However, I call him my reserve champion. He ended his conformation career with two single points. In those days it took 28 males for a mere 3 point major. Lots of very nice dogs never did finish their championships in that "era".

Duncan also has a very nice temperament.
He isn't as high energy as Misty. He is a very level headed male with a strong "wait and see" attitude.

Obedience and carting are things he can do very well, but he isn't really interested in doing those things.

His love and talent is herding. He was the #5 rottweiler in herding in 2002.
He earned that distinction by placing in all breed herding trials. Yes, he has actually beaten a bunch of border collies.
He has earned titles in both sheep and ducks.

In 2002 Duncan was one of the Top Ten Herding Rottweilers in the country. Herding was one of his favorite activities.

Duncan left us in the Spring of 2008. It was an honor to share my life with him.
He taught me patience, and tenacity, but most of all Duncan taught me the quiet strength of a Rottweiler's heart.
